The first newsletter with information about the new version of Gary's Cookbook has bin delivered to users with a subscription.

If you also want to be informed about news around the Cookbook, just subscribe under the - User menu - Newsletter subscribe - as a registered and logged in user.

We've made it possible to users to write personal messages (PM's) to other user of Gary's Cookbook. It's mainly an extension to the Forum. Personal informaions don't have to be published to everyone in the Forum. The mailaddresses are of course, as before, not anywhere published.

We trust our users. But we'lll keep a closer eye on usernames and "real names". These have to be understandable otherwise they will be deactivated or deleted. Names as Gerald1962 are understandable for us, "weasf" not and will be deactivated. This is neccessary to make a communication between users in the Cookbook community possible. If you are a registered user and have a used not understandable  names please change in "Your details". By the way, you may want to change the language as well to english, german or swedish. We hope on your understanding.

User that have bin unactive for a year will automaticly be deleted. 

To come to the PM's (personal messages):
In the forum click on "My Profile". A little to the left and down you'll find the "Private Messages". Choose "new message" to write your new message.

In the usermenu you'il also find the "Private Messages". We'll add someinformations in the Help/Faq how to handel the messages.

If you get some spammessages or something like it please send a massage/mail to the webmaster of this site to block the user in question.

The plugin program is available in the downloadarea - Extensions

The search plugin in version 1.5.x to integrate the recipedata with the Joomla! search, has bin reworked. The version No is now referring more to the versionnumber of the cookbook instead of Joomla!.

New:

- Confiiguration extended. see below

- Only one languagefile per language (as Admininistrator/Backend-language).i.e. No extra languageinstallation neccesary.

- A deinstallation of an older version of the search-plugin is necessary.

- Please read the installationshints in Help/Faq - Extensions.

The module for Gary's Cookbook has bin reworked and is now to find as Multi Module in the version 3.0.1 Beta

  • Slimbox- (Lightbox) with rezipeimages and links to the recipes
  • Categories with links to the categories

  • Slimbox (Lightbox) with categorieimages and links to the categories.
• Now without tables
• Own Css-filei. You may use the modul-suffix for module-copies.
• As far tested conform with the W3C-html. of course not tested with every possibility.

You do not have to and shouldn't deinstall a  installed module in a 1.5.x Version. The multi-module can be used in parallel . Prerequisite is that you have installed Gary's Cookbook in version 3.0.11 or above!

It is a beta version but you can, after your own tests, use it on a prodictive  site. Programmerrors or errors in your own configuration will normaly appear immediatly. And the module does not disturb any data.
