- The version 3.0.14 of Gary´s Cookbook is now available in the Downloadarea.
Version 3.0.14 includes a lot of changes and extensions
A newsletter with this information has been sent to the subscribers.
- ATTENTION! Do NOT use the update version "new installation" described in Help/Faq. The database tablles have been changed and you will not be able to import the data to the database tables without a lot of work. But you should folllow the instructions how to make a backup of yor data. Then you are able, shouldn't the upgrade work, to go back to a version available in the archive. After uploading the programms you have to choose "Upgrade table to Gary´s Cookbook 3.0.14" in the Backend to make the changes to the databasetables Choose the "Settings" and save it Then you should check the new parameters. With the new "Create alias" you are able to create for Search Engine Friendly (SEF) titles. Only needed to be used once after the version update!
- It's mow possible to upload rezipe images from the frontend also when changing recipes. Own recipes may also be changed and images uoloaded by the recipe creator. Only for new entered recipes!
- The naming of recipe images has been changed for uploaded images to make them more suitable for the oparative systems.
- After sending a recipe, you get back to the this new/changed recipe. For not released recipes only once, then an adminsitrator has to release it.
- Data about the user that create or change the recipe are now stored in the database
- It is now possible to allow users to create their own recipelist/recipebook. The user can choose to add or remove the shown recipe to his own Cookbooklist. The own recipellist may as a start be choosen from the List "Search results for".
- Alternative Security checks have been introduced. With reCaptcha und MathGuard no extra installaiton is neccessary. We will explain it more in Help/Faq.
- After a wrong entered securitycode the data are still kept and not lost as before.
- In the recipemaintenace im Backend you may now publish/unpublish and delete the recipes.You do not have to go back to the recipelist to do this. For those of you who allow users to enter recipes on the frontend, it is recommenden to install the Backend Statisti modul to quick find the new uploaded recipes.
- For the Cookbook-Introduction you may now alternatively use an Joomla! Artcle. It that way you are able to use transaltion extensions to translate the texts. For the time beeing only Joom!fish is supported. It's recommended to use this possibility only if you translate the texts. To be set in the configuration. An Examplel (Template) may be downloaded from "Extensions for Gary's Cookbook" . offline-intro.zip
- Alternative message "Cookbook Kochbuch Offline" may be entered as an Joomla! article. In that way you may also translate the message with translation extensions e.g. with Joom!fish. Settings in the configuration. Standard is the Joomla! Errormessage. An Examplel (Template) may be downloaded from "Extensions for Gary's Cookbook". offline-intro.zip
- A Field "Alias" is stored in the databasetable. It may be used for Search engine freindly Web-Adresses (SEF)
- So called Metadata, that are intressting for searchengines, can manually be entered pro recipe. description, keys and robots.
- Version management in the Backend
- The languafefiles for frontend and backend have been changed a lot.
